CROWN Asia Chemicals Corporation (formerly Crown Asia Compounders Corporation) was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission as a manufacturing company engaged in the production of plastic compounds and related plastic products.
Commercial operations commenced in June 1990 with 22 employees at the company’s manufacturing plant in Guiguinto, Bulacan, with an initial production capacity of 1,800 metric tons per year.
CROWN’s PVC compounds were accredited and recognized under the U.S. Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Label, enabling exports and indirect supply to wire and cable manufacturers in the United States.
In the same year, the company formally began exporting its PVC compounds.
The Compounds Division was granted ISO 9002:1994 Certification by QMS International.
In the same year, CROWN marked a major milestone with the establishment of its Pipes Division, expanding into the manufacture of PVC pipes under the CROWN Pipes brand. Using advanced German machinery and technology, the company launched Crownflex uPVC flexible electrical pipes.
CROWN introduced Electrical Conduit Pipes, CROWN Supreme Thick Wall Pipes, and CROWN Hi-Tech Pipes, alongside the production of CROWN Blue Potable Water Pipes, expanding its presence in the construction and utilities sectors.
The company produced CROWN Sanitary Pipes, distinguished by built-in UV protection, designed for longer-lasting and more durable drain-waste-vent (DWV) applications.
CROWN expanded the applications of its PVC compounds beyond electrical use to include packaging, IC tubes, films, bottles, doors, and window profiles, strengthening its role as a supplier to major manufacturing industries.
The company began manufacturing telecom and pressure main pipes and introduced HDPE pipes, further diversifying its infrastructure solutions.
The Pipes Division was awarded ISO 9001:2000 Certification on June 26, 2009, covering the manufacture and distribution of uPVC potable water, electrical, sanitary, multipurpose, and pressure main pipes and fittings.
The Compounds Division received ISO 9001:2008 Certification on April 7, 2010.
CROWN Pipes also upgraded its certification from ISO 9001:2000 to ISO 9001:2008, issued on July 16, 2010.
In its 25th year, CROWN established itself as one of the leading manufacturers of thermoplastic compounds supplying both local and export markets, while strengthening the CROWN Pipes brand as a trusted supplier to the building, construction, telecommunications, and infrastructure sectors.
On April 27, 2015, CROWN was publicly listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE).
In August 2015, the company began testing the manufacture of PPR and HDPE Pipes and Fittings.
In January 2016, the Compounds Division expanded its production capacity by 1,500 MTPY.
In February 2016, the Pipes Division launched the ENDURO product line, reinforcing CROWN’s industrial-grade product offerings.
Production of CROWN PVC Roofing commenced in October 2017, with project supply beginning in December 2017, marking the company’s entry into energy-efficient and sustainable roofing solutions.
CROWN acquired ISO 9001:2015 Certification for the Compounds Division on March 19, 2018, and for the Pipes Division on July 9, 2018.
The company was also listed by the Philippine Stock Exchange as a Shariah-compliant company and cited by the Financial Times as one of the Top 1000 High-Growth Companies in the Asia-Pacific region.
CROWN established a sales depot in Mandaue, Cebu, supplied major infrastructure projects, and initially introduced CROWN Septic-Tech.
The company recorded revenue growth of 20.74% and an 18.31% increase in gross profit.
CROWN introduced CROWN CAC – Your Clean and Comfort Essentials, expanding into consumer products.
The company was recognized as Shariah-compliant and, for the second time, cited by Forbes Asia as one of Asia’s Best Under a Billion.
CROWN also received its first Golden Arrow Award from the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS) under the 2021 assessment.
CROWN retained its Shariah-compliant status and was again recognized by Forbes Asia as one of Asia’s Best Under a Billion.
The company received another Golden Arrow Award from the ACGS, affirming its strong corporate governance practices.
CROWN introduced the CROWN Electrical Wire and Cable Protector.
The company received its second Golden Arrow Award under the 2022 ACGS and marked seven consecutive years as a Shariah-compliant publicly listed company on the PSE.
CROWN sustained its momentum in governance excellence and product innovation, expanding its HDPE Double-Wall and Structured-Wall Pipes portfolio while continuing the rollout of sustainability-driven solutions across its operations.
During the year, the company received another Golden Arrow Award, reinforcing its consistent performance in transparency, accountability, and board effectiveness.
CROWN was also recognized by the Philippine Daily Inquirer and Statista as one of The Philippines’ Growth Champions 2024, securing its place in an exclusive ranking of high-performing companies in the country.
At the 2025 Golden Arrow Recognition Night, CROWN earned its first distinction as a Two Golden Arrow Awardee, marking its fourth consecutive Golden Arrow recognition and reinforcing its commitment to corporate governance, ethical management, and sustainable growth.
During the year, CROWN also introduced CROWN CPVC Pipes and Fittings and CROWN Premium 600 CPVC/Fire Sprinkler Cement, strengthening its portfolio of solutions for fire safety protection and industrial applications.
