On August 21, 2024, CROWN, in collaboration with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Guiguinto, conducted a Fire Safety Seminar and Drill to enhance fire preparedness among employees. The seminar was led by FO1 Grace Ann V. Belluga, who emphasized the critical importance of fire safety training. Staying calm and responding appropriately during a fire can significantly reduce risks and potential damage.

The seminar provided participants with valuable knowledge on identifying fire hazards, the proper use of fire extinguishers, and understanding the fundamentals of fire prevention. Employees were also trained in emergency procedures, including safe building evacuation and assisting others during emergencies. The goal is for these safety measures to become automatic responses whenever fire alarms are triggered, ensuring everyone evacuates the premises in a safe and orderly manner.

Fire drills, which are mandatory for most facilities to conduct annually, play a crucial role in evaluating the effectiveness of warning systems and the occupants' knowledge of fire safety protocols. These exercises reinforce training and assess the readiness of CROWN employees, ensuring they are well-prepared to respond to fire emergencies.

Following the training session, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) conducted a practical fire drill to teach employees the actual process of using fire safety equipment and executing emergency procedures. During the drill, employees were guided through the step-by-step process of handling fire extinguishers, identifying and using emergency exits, and performing safe evacuation techniques. The hands-on practice aimed to ensure that all participants are familiar with the correct use of fire safety tools and can respond efficiently and confidently in the event of a fire emergency.

By conducting regular evacuation drills, CROWN aims to increase awareness of potential fire hazards and teach employees how to navigate emergency exits and evacuation routes effectively. This proactive approach is essential for maintaining a safe work environment and protecting the well-being of all employees.
